Explaining American Policy to Youth and Teachers
January 24, 2008.
Consul General Matt Boyse visited the Gymnasium Rheindahlen in Moenchengladbach on January 24, speaking to about 50 12th and 13th grade English students and several teachers of English and History. The almost two-hour conversation covered a wide range of issues, from Guantanamo to climate change, travel to the United States, and the "American Dream" versus the "European Dream." The CG expanded on these and other questions, urging the students to draw from multiple sources and to evaluate them carefully before reaching conclusions on complex issues.
