Energy Policy as a Transatlantic Challenge

October 31, 2006.
“Goodbye to Oil? Energy Policy as a Transatlantic Challenge” was the title of the 8th Transatlantic Dialogue at Amerika Haus on October 31. Moderated by WDR editor Arnd Henze, panelists included Jim Marzilli, legislator from Massachusetts, Reinhard Loske, ranking member of the Greens in the Bundestag, and Henning Rentz, head of energy policy at RWE. The discussion provided relevant insights into U.S. and German approaches to dealing with the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. At a press briefing earlier Marzilli provided additional information on renewable energy initiatives at the local and regional level in the U.S.
