U.S. Secretary of Education Participates in Conference in Bonn, Visits Cologne

November 20-22, 2007.
U.S. Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings participated in the “Third Ministerial Meeting on Education of the Broader Middle East and North Africa (BMENA) countries and the Group of Eight (G8)” in Bonn, November 21-22. Prior to the conference, Ms. Spellings visited Cologne where she enjoyed a guided tour of Cologne Cathedral, a World Heritage Monument and one the best-known architectural buildings in Germany. The tour was conducted by the Director of the Cathedral Archives, Dr. Klaus Hardering. Secretary Spellings expressed her appreciation for the tour as a welcome cultural entrée at the start of her visit.
