Explaining American Society to Young Germans

December 7, 2007.
Consul General Matt Boyse visited the Pestalozzi Realschule in the Ruhr industrial city of Bochum on December 7, addressing some 130 10th graders and numerous teachers. The conversation lasted more than two hours, as the pupils asked thoughtful questions on a wide range of issues, from the daily life of a diplomat to the Israel-Palestinian conflict, Iran, Iraq, Kyoto, terrorism, and many more. School Director Silvia Zens and the other teachers prepared the pupils well!
