November 14, 2006.
During a kickoff meeting on November 14 hosted by the Duesseldorf-based Rhein Fire (American) football team, Consul General Matt Boyse discussed the team’s plans for its upcoming season with Head Coach Jim Tonsula and Managing Director Sammy Schmale. In addition to explaining the behind-the-scenes preparations for next year, Coach Tonsula described the team’s public service and youth-related activities to encourage the growth and appreciation of the sport in Germany. The team’s next season will run from mid-April until late June 2007.
