November 6, 2006.
At the invitation of the regional branch of the Society for Defense and Security Policy (Gesellschaft fuer Wehr- und Sicherheitspolitik), Consul General Matt Boyse visited Lippstadt on November 6, paying a courtesy call on Mayor Christof Sommer. The CG and the Mayor discussed i.a. economic relations between the region and the United States, which are particularly significant in the automotive sector, and relations between the U.S. and Germany more generally. The CG also spoke at an evening gathering of citizens organized by the Society on “Challenges Facing U.S.-German Relations.”
