Proceeds of the Dueren Jazz Festival Donated to New Orleans Musicians in Need

At a ceremony on November 22, representatives of the Jazz Club Düren presented a check of 7272 $ to Constance C. Jones, Director of the Amerika Haus Cologne, and Eric Rueter, Deputy Consul General in North Rhine-Westphalia. The donation was collected at a special jazz festival in Düren on October 22-23 which was dedicated to the victims of hurricane Katrina. As the festival organizers explained, the festival was presented in the spirit of "giving back to New Orleans for the enrichment of our lives through their music."
