Participating in the U.S. Consulate General's School Outreach Program, American Exchange student Hale Schneider of San Diego, CA visited Cologne Irmgardis Gymnasium on December 11. Hale Schneider was welcomed by the 11th grade students with home-made cake and cookies and invited to talk about Christmas traditions in the U.S. Teacher and students enjoyed the opportunity to talk to a "real" American and test their English to also discuss such diverse issues as soccer, high school life in the U.S. and gun control.
