U.S. diplomat Stephen Engelken described U.S. efforts to build a stable and long-term relationship with Pakistan at a discussion event at the Duesseldorf Institute for Foreign and Security Policy on December 7. He singled out nuclear proliferation, dealing with the Taliban leadership, the upcoming free and fair elections, and Pakistan’s relationship with India as key issues and pointed out U.S. support in education, science and economic cooperation.
