Dortmund Students Learn About Educational Opportunities in the U.S.

On November 20, EducationUSA specialist at the U.S. Consulate Duesseldorf, Petra Spitz, gave a presentation on "Ways to the U.S." at the Stadtbibliothek Dortmund. Under the "America @ Your Library" program the Dortmund library had received a book collection about the United States , which also includes study guides and books about other educational opportunities in the U.S.. Ms. Spitz talked about high school exchange, au-pair, internships and study in the United States, application process, financial aid and visa questions. About 30 young adults participated in the event using the opportunity to ask specific questions on going to the United States, request advice on exchange opportunitites and pick up information materials.
