Public Affairs Section to Move from the Amerika Haus to the U.S. Consulate General in Duesseldorf

August 27, 2007.
The U.S. public affairs section, which has been operating out of the Amerika Haus in Cologne since 1955, will move to the U.S. Consulate General in Düsseldorf at the end of September 2007. In Düsseldorf, the section will continue to promote German-American relations and conduct a wide range of public diplomacy activities throughout North Rhine Westphalia. The Amerika Haus building will continue to serve as a location for a transatlantic dialogue, as of October 1, 2007 under the auspices of a recently established legacy institution, the “Amerika Haus e.V.” More detailed information on how to reach the public affairs section in Düsseldorf as well as how to cooperate with the new Amerika Haus public-private partnership and its future programs and activities will be forthcoming.
